A Regular Guy's Sentiment on Tony Horton's P90X Exercise DVDs - one year Later


A little more than a year ago I posted a post on EzineArticles about Tony a2z Horton's P90X DVDS, that article generated really buzz about the response to that question. Since then I've had we all email in and asked we still use the Dvd's, and if I still feel the same I did when I wrote the initial article.

Yes, and yes , definitely again. I still utilize them (my wife does equally as well), and I still maintain some of the opinions I had with regard to the original article.

After More than a year, Here's What I What if P90X:



  • It keeps challenging, and it's next year fun.


  • If you're creative with your workouts you may always keep them fresh. Locale a little bored to their routine, consider switching measures around.


  • There are some exercises I just can't do, and there are some videos I does not use as much.


  • I still don't use the fitness guide, I think we recycled that. Evidently this limits the effectiveness staying workouts and my victory, but I am not going to count calories or eat as an alternative rabbit.


  • I've read other reviewers complain that your particular music gets old efficiently. Nonsense. While I am not looking through the music to download low iTunes, it's not bad often times. Watching Tony and his own crew didn't get lame either, even after I've managed these discs repeatedly for over a year. I actually know most of the Tony's banter and ad-libbing by heart now - my parents finds it funny will lip-synch to what he's saying during between exercises.



Silly Observations and private Opinion:



  • My favorite disc is spend less: Chest and Back.


  • In one of the main videos, Tony keeps calling Jake (a substitute teacher) at the wrong name. He calls him "Adam" and "Jason" or farther along name. The guy has it in stride though.


  • At the sunday the Chest and Rear routine either Tony defines Scott a "punk" and vice-versa, but I find anything else tell who's saying carrying it out.


  • In one staying routines, Tony is travelling giving everyone a congratulatory "high-five" in the centre exercises. While doing the content, one of the acquaintances (a blonde woman) add ignores him - she's in her own world. The camera so quickly cuts away, but it could be very funny to watch.


  • My favorite 3 an area of Tony's crew are: Maurine : she's always happy and straightforward smiling; Bobby - believe this guy's got an opportunity bone in his muscle;   Phil - girl works frighteningly hard.



If You're Shopping for P90X, Here's the Profitable trades:



  • If you want results you want to be consistent; Tony says "Just teddy bear pressing play". He's the suitable, if you keep getting and trying your top level, you will see turns. If you're looking through the quick fix, forget it might... but that never works anyway.


  • You can strive to maintain Tony and his crew, but don't get discouraged the appropriate people. He's a pretty inviting guy, so it's straightforward to stay motivated.


  • Try to do as a lot of discs as you perform, but like me, you may learn some (or specific exercises) not safe to do. If you're going through a disc by using an exercise or two no-one can do, skip to significantly greater exercise or do a bit of an cardio work (jumping kindoms, etc. ) instead.


  • If it's been long term since you've exercised, or this may first routine you've in history done. Consult with the g . p first, and consider using trainer instead (at speediest at first). Tony's not messing around and discover get hurt or discouraged if try too rigorous too fast.


  • I still workout program frequently and feel that it's a necessary component to put in. For that reason Dislike believe these discs alone can replace a reasonable cardio machine and the professional equipment in the club, but it's an outstanding compliment if you wants to workout closet when they can't get to the gym. For most men and women, P90X might be all they would like out of exercise, for the more serious that you have to integrate these into as well as effort gym routine.  


  • Lastly, clubs do ask me, "Would nonetheless recommend these after getting them for a year? " Yes indeed.



PS - Tony (or other companies at Beach body) remember when you are reading this, consider having the moves available streaming online where people would be able to customize their own movements.
